Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy is one of the most common and debilitating long-term adverse effects of chemotherapy. The symptoms of pain, numbness, tingling and loss of function significantly worsens a cancer survivor’s quality of life. A newly published randomized clinical trial performed at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center found therapeutic benefits in acupuncture for neuropathic symptoms.
