Acupuncture is known as an effective treatment for alleviating allergic asthma symptoms. In a randomized 2017 controlled trial, 184 patients received fifteen sessions of acupuncture treatment along with their routine care for allergic asthma and saw an increase in health-related quality of life. In another randomized 2000 controlled study, twenty patients received twelve sessions of acupuncture treatment and saw there were not only greater improvements in their immune systems and their overall general well being, but it also helped lower inflammation in their airways.
