Acupuncture has been widely used for relieving pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, such as elbow pain and tennis elbow (also known as lateral epicondylitis).
Many studies have proven the efficacy of acupuncture in alleviating elbow pain by increasing blood flow and collagen proliferation to help regenerate the tendon and reduce inflammation. Patients with lateral epicondylitis were shown to be satisfied with acupuncture treatments in terms of pain relief and improved function of the forearm without adverse events.
